
Elementary Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Aitkin Public Schools has an opening for an Elementary Speech Language Pathologist. The position will start August 25, 2025. This role includes identifying, evaluating, designing, and implementing appropriate plans for students. The SLP writes Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and serves as a member of the Child Study Team. The SLP also meets with parents, interprets student progress, informs parents about their child's progress, and is available for in-services.
Responsibilities
The current caseload includes birth to 3-year-olds, preschool-aged children, DCD classrooms, and students in the Communication and Interaction Program. Candidates with a background in or interest in early childhood intervention, language intervention, and use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a strong background in implementing research-based instructional strategies, equity/diversity, and meeting the needs of unique learners. Successful candidates should also be creative and have good communication and problem‑solving skills. A current Minnesota SLP Licensure is required for the position.
