Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. Provides general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
Education
Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Licensure
Current/temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Experience
Six months to one year of experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
Prefer experience with adult and geriatric patients.
Certifications
BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Prolonged standing and walking required during each shift.
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
