Shift
The shift for this role will be 3/12 hour shifts per week – 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Some holiday and weekend work will be required per department needs.
Job Summary
The LPN is a member of the multidisciplinary ambulatory team who is responsible for patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The LPN performs the duties for which they are trained such as starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and notifying the RN or LIP with any changes or abnormalities in the patient’s condition. The primary responsibilities include providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care through assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians; and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations. This environment supports collaborative efforts among the nursing staff and the team of physicians to increase communication and improve expected patient outcomes. The patient‑centered nursing process is employed in conjunction with a comprehensive plan of care to ensure excellence in service.
