
Occupational Therapist

NHC HomeCare Chipley is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to supervise and provide occupational therapy services for patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program certifiable by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Licensed/registered in the state where the OT will practice.
Active member of the State and National Occupational Therapy Associations preferred.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise OT services.
Provide OT services as ordered by referring physicians and delegate appropriate portions to licensed OT Assistants.
Instruct OT staff on delegated functions, precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals, and re‑evaluation plans.
Evaluate, plan, and supervise treatments and programs, establishing short‑term and long‑term goals approved by physicians with periodic re‑evaluations.
Maintain patient care records as required by the agency and ensure third‑party reimbursement compliance, meeting state and federal requirements.
Consult with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals as appropriate.
Participate in in‑service training, safety checks for equipment, and quality assurance performance improvement activities.
Engage in interdisciplinary conferences to maintain continuity of patient care.
Provide OT services in compliance with NHC HomeCare policies, procedures, state, and federal guidelines.
Maintain knowledge of HomeCare OT procedures, regulations, and professional standards through workshops, in‑services, research, and reading.
