Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, related field, or foreign equivalent.
Eligibility or possession of a South Dakota Professional License: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health (LPC‑MH), Clinical Social Worker – Practitioner in Private Practice (CSW‑PIP), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC).
Recognition status as an Addiction Counselor Trainee (ACT) by the South Dakota Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals.
