Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience, including pediatric emergency care
Active RN license in New York (all RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
Experience with EPIC EMR (Emergency Department documentation and order entry)
Skills checklist matching specialty; trauma nurse and critical care skills preferred
Up‑to‑date resume documenting travel experience
Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
Charge nurse capability highly preferred
Ability to float to other units as needed
Key Responsibilities

Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to patients across the lifespan (newborn, pediatric, adult, geriatric) in a busy Emergency Department
Assess, triage, and manage common and critical ED diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun and perform ED‑specific procedures as indicated
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, techs, respiratory, social work) to coordinate patient care
Assume charge nurse duties when assigned and support unit flow and staffing
Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC EMR
Adhere to unit protocols and dress code (navy blue scrubs); float to other units as required
