
Supplier Payments Analyst - Accounts Payable, WWGS FinOps Payments and Support

Description
The Financial analyst position supports Whole Food Market’s payments to all suppliers via Workday. This position has additional responsibilities related to data analysis, project management, and proactive root cause resolution.
Key job responsibilities
Manage settlement schedules in Workday and issue offcycle payments when necessary
Utilize a variety of software/systems to research, review, and correct payment issues
Leverage approved AI applications to automate processes where possible and analyze AP related data
Utilize multiple bank platforms to release wire payments and perform other AP related functions
Perform fiscal period closing duties such as GL account reconciliation
Review AP aging and open invoices
Understand SOX, GAAP, and general ledger accounting
Assist with the 1099 filing process
Prepare and maintain standard operating documentation for all tasks
Conduct software testing for payments in lower test environments as needed and effectively communicate with product and tech business partners
Own and drive special projects
Collect and analyze data from multiple sources, present findings to internal and external business partners
Proactively troubleshoot complex payment issues, taking ownership from identification through resolution
Navigate change and uncertainty with confidence, collaborating across Amazon and Whole Foods Market systems and teams
Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience
1+ years of finance experience
Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
Experience using data to influence business decisions
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
Knowledge of finance, accounting or related field focused on analytics
Preferred Qualifications
Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
Experience with Workday Financials

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
