Housing Placement & Stabilization Specialist
Location: Onsite / Community-Based
Organization Type: Community-based human services organization supporting individuals experiencing homelessness
Position Overview
The Housing Placement & Stabilization Specialist supports individuals living in low-income or specialized housing by providing case management, housing stabilization services, and connections to community resources. This role focuses on helping clients maintain housing stability, meet financial obligations, and build long-term supports through structured outreach and follow-up.
Responsibilities
Manage an assigned caseload of clients residing in low-income or supportive housing
Conduct stabilization visits to assess housing stability and immediate needs
Connect clients to community resources and supportive services
Support clients with budgeting and making timely rent payments
Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to address barriers to housing retention
Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
Provide ongoing support to promote long-term housing stability
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Human Services or High School Diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience
Minimum 6 months of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or similar populations
Prior case management experience (required)
Ability to manage an assigned caseload and conduct community- and home-based visits
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (full-time)
Position Type: Contract (6 months, with potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $24 - $26.00/hr.
