Pay:
$16.03 to $20.05 hourly, plus comprehensive benefits, including membership in the Arizona State Retirement System.
Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical support activities for the maintenance of SEACOM’s records management and administration; performs related duties as assigned. Successful candidates must pass extensive background screening and fingerprint check.
Essential Functions & Typical Duties
Conducts cursory background checks using Spillman RMS for employment backgrounds and Citizens Police Academy background; performs entries into the ACIC and/or NCIC computer system for items including warrants, Order of Protection/Injunction, stolen articles, stolen vehicles, stolen/lost guns, victims of identity theft, and missing persons.
Performs criminal history checks using ACIC/NCIC at the request of law enforcement and/or authorized records personnel for inclusion in Spillman incidents.
Retrieves and verifies case/incident information using Spillman and/or case files to validate warrants, OOP/Injunctions, stolen articles, stolen vehicles, identity theft, and missing persons in the NCIC.
Ensures records are retained in compliance with the most recent Law Enforcement Records Retention Schedule issued by the Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records.
Utilizes Spillman RMS to retrieve mandatory Good Samaritan reporting information for the Arizona Department of Health Services on a monthly basis.
Applies quality control standards to entries made in ACIC/NCIC by Public Safety Dispatchers and maintains performance standard scores.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of general clerical office experience, or completion of a course or program in office management or a closely related field; typing of 35 words per minute minimum; must be a minimum of 18 years of age; must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s license; and the ability to be covered by county insurance.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience with comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Authorized persons and extent of authorized information release.
Policies and procedures of SEACOM.
Department computer software for Spillman.
English grammar and spelling.

Accurately entering and verifying data and information into the police records system and NCIC/ACIC.

Work Environment
Work is primarily performed under general supervision. Incumbent generally performs work in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls.
Physical Requirements
Essential functions: Lifting up to 10 pounds, manual dexterity, ability to communicate. Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting majority of time; walking and standing are required; all other sedentary criteria are met. Mental application: Utilizes memory for details and verbal instructions, requires emotional stability, empathy, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem‑solving skills.
