SUMMARY
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and/or from the hotel, hospital or casino and local area in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner using safe driving practices. The driver manages guest luggage, delivering and picking up luggage during guest arrival and departure, and maintains vehicle activity and maintenance logs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Shuttle guests to approved destinations; must learn and remember pick‑up and destination points and be knowledgeable about property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, main attractions, and parking rates (40%).

Communicate by telephone, two‑way radio, and in person in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner; greet guests within 30 seconds, use guests' last names, maintain composure under pressure, and employ proper salutations (20%).

Operate a vehicle seating up to fifteen people, inspect exterior and interior at the start of each shift, monitor conditions, and document any malfunctions for management (20%).

Protect guest confidentiality per HIPAA, secure client information, provide hand assistance only, inspect and clean wheelchairs, assist patrons in entering or exiting vehicles, and use specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts when required (20%).

The total amount of time for all functions of the job is 100%.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Required Licensure, Certification, etc.

Pass criminal background, driving record (MVR), drug screening, and other client‑specified requirements.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Maintain a valid driver’s license.

Pass annual or semi‑annual MVR check.

Complete Towne Park’s Wheelchair Safety Training course where applicable.

Possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

Maintain up‑to‑date licenses, DOT endorsements, and bi‑annual physical exam as applicable.

Work Experience

One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge

Drive manual transmission.

Skills

Read and write standard English.

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Write simple correspondence.

Present information one‑to‑one and in small group settings.

Add and subtract three‑digit numbers, multiply and divide using standard numerical operations and U.S. currency.

Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.

Understand rates applicable to time passed.

SCOPE
Authority to Act
Job is routine with specific directions; decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors may affect departmental efficiency.

Budget Responsibility
Employee has control over only available resources.

Compensation
Pay: $17 per hour.

Work Schedule
Schedule: AM/PM.

Exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly.

Working Environment
Work outdoors for extended periods; may include extreme heat or cold; protection from weather may be provided but not guaranteed.

Travel
Travel up to 5% of the time may be required.
