On Call Veterinary Surgery Technician

On-call Veterinary Surgery/Anesthesia Technician
Are you looking for a second income or prefer to not have a set schedule? Consider working as an anesthesia technician. Be on call overnights and/or weekends. We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician to monitor anesthesia for emergency surgeries. This may be a part time position or full time position.
Skills and Qualifications
CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred
Four years of surgical veterinary experience.
Knowledge and understanding of veterinary procedures and diseases related to surgical procedures.
Advanced anesthesia and analgesia experience (must be comfortable with ASA I-V monitoring)
Excellent communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, learn and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to anticipate and be detail oriented due to high level of patient care.
Must be an enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 50 pounds and work on feet most of the day.
Salary Range
Base Pay Range for per diem hours: $22 to $32/hr
The hourly rate for call in hours is $48.50
