
NERA Consultant - Antitrust/Labor Economist (Job Market/New PhD)

NERA is a leading economic consulting firm. We are seeking candidates with PhD’s in Economics, with training in Labor Economics or IO, Econometrics, and quantitative methods. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
Opportunities
Apply the technical skills and knowledge gained during their graduate studies
Conduct high-powered economic research across a wide variety of industries
Develop economic models to answer critical business and legal questions
Perform cutting-edge economic analysis on complex real-life issues
Write research reports and client presentations for senior staff and clients to help them make informed economic decisions
Influence/direct project strategy, including the preparation and presentation of oral and written testimony
Collaborate with in-house experts and outside academics
Manage client relationships
Develop and strengthen both project and people management skills
Program Elements
A comprehensive orientation program
Skill enhancement training sessions including Project Management, Business Development, and Deposition training
The support of Business Development and Marketing Managers responsible for providing tailored and strategic business development services to assist consultants in their development into testifying experts
Formal performance evaluations

The applicable base salary for this role is $225,000 – $235,000 per year. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
