We are seeking hardworking individuals to join our waste diversion team, ensuring that recycling and compost are processed correctly during high-energy games and concerts. This is an active, hands-on role perfect for those who enjoy a fast-paced environment and contributing to local sustainability efforts.
What You'll Do
- Waste Sorting: Actively sort materials into designated categories (trash, recycling, and compost) for the duration of the shift.
- Operations: Monitor work areas to maintain high sorting standards and ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace; perform end-of-shift cleaning of equipment.
- Teamwork: Provide immediate support during high-volume event peaks to meet diversion goals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate timekeeping and report any operational or safety concerns.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
- Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish is required.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using computers and mobile apps for scheduling and communication.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse, janitorial, or event operations is a plus.
- Certification: Forklift certification is preferred
Schedule & Pay
- Rate of Pay: $21.00 per hour
- Hours: Full Time Swing Shift Tuesday Saturday (flexibility is needed based on the venue's event calendar)
- Availability: Flexibility is key as shifts include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
