Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to support our team in managing property insurance claims from intake to resolution.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in preparing, reviewing, and filing property insurance claims.
Draft correspondence, demand letters, and legal documents related to insurance matters.
Manage deadlines, calendars, and case files to ensure timely submissions.
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, mortgage companies, and other relevant parties.
Gather, organize, and maintain documentation, including photos, estimates, and contracts.
Support discovery, including preparing and reviewing evidence and exhibits.
Maintain accurate records of claim status, correspondence, and payments.
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience in insurance or litigation.
Strong knowledge of property insurance claims and related procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with legal software (Clio, LexisNexis, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience handling property damage claims, including residential and commercial properties.
Familiarity with insurance company processes, mortgage company coordination, and claim tracking.
