Overview
Civil Litigation Firm Looking for a Defense Paralegal. This role supports attorneys in active, fast-moving litigation matters and requires strong organizational skills, solid billing experience, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive litigation support from case inception through trial
Draft, revise, and file pleadings, discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, and motions
Manage discovery, including document review, production, and organization
Assist with trial preparation (exhibits, witness lists, trial binders)
Coordinate depositions, mediations, and court appearances
Maintain case files and calendars; track deadlines and court rules
Enter time and assist with attorney billing and invoicing
Communicate with clients, vendors, and court personnel professionally and efficiently
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
Prior defense-side litigation experience strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with billing and time entry
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court filings
Proficiency in legal document management and case management systems
Excellent written communication, organization, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases and shifting priorities independently
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
