Position Details
Title:
Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Employment Type:
PRN – no guaranteed hours
How You’ll Contribute
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment; monitor for and address potential side effects.
Administers ordered respiratory therapy treatments; understand indications, dosing parameters, and possible adverse effects.
Sets up and monitor mechanical ventilators; perform associated critical‑care duties such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
Assesses pain that interferes with function or rehabilitation participation and notifies the physician for appropriate intervention.
Performs arterial punctures to obtain ABG samples; recognizes potential complications and contraindications.
Performs EKGs, documents/report results per department procedure, routes to requesting providers, and files reports appropriately.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Graduate of an AMA‑approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
Minimum three years of cardiopulmonary/respiratory care experience highly preferred.
Mechanical ventilation and airway management experience.
