Welder Fabricator

Overview
DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Welder. The ideal candidate has welding experience, is mechanically inclined, and has experience with metal fabrication.
Responsibilities
Assembles key components to existing vehicles, at assigned workstations, performing any combination of following tasks according to specifications and using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and production fixtures.
Reads and interprets specifications.
Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
Sets up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cuts material with powered saws to match measurements).
Operates angle grinders to prepare parts that must be welded.
Aligns components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamps pieces.
Welds components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Repairs machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
Tests and inspects welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
Maintains equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Experience with installing crash attenuator assemblies onto existing frames/chassis is a plus.
Mechanically inclined with experience using floor jacks, oil changes, filter changes, fluid changes, and tire changes.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid driver's license with 5 years of clean driving record.
Experience in heavy truck (gas and diesel) repair.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
Technical educational training in mechanics is preferred.
Experience in welding/fabrication required.
Experience working with smaller hand tools such as chainsaws, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
Experience working on mowers, skid steers, spray equipment/systems is a plus.
Ability to work overtime is a plus.
