Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Phase II PACU for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role:

The Nurse in the Same Day Surgery Unit is responsible for the provision of safe and effective care of the perioperative patient in the pre-operative and post-operative phase.

The employee proactively works toward and achieves goals set in the previous evaluation period and assumes responsibility for the efficient management of patients admitted to the Same Day Surgery Unit.

Performs pre-operative, pre-procedure assessments of patients immediately prior to planned intervention.

Plans, coordinates, and provides nursing care according to individual patient care needs.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse required.

2 years medical surgical experience, with preference for post anesthesia care experience.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support course (ALS or ACLS) and certification is required.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support course (PLS or PCLS) and certification is required.
