REQUIREMENTS
Application and/or resume must show a minimum of 6 months’ in one of the following areas: Mechanical troubleshooting, electrical/Electronic troubleshooting, Hydraulic Troubleshooting, PLC Troubleshooting and navigation, Welding/Fabrication, AC/DC Control Wiring, Motor Control, 3 Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Hydraulics, or Pneumatic Systems
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: Industrial Maintenance Technician – Storm Lake Pork Plant
Pay depends on skill level - Starting Pay: $26.50/HR
All applicants must be willing to work in all areas based on facility staffing needs, location needs determine shift of work available.
DUTIES
Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel.
Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Ability to adhere to Tyson Foods' safety policies and procedures.
Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
Must be able to effectively communicate with all hourly team members and members of management in person and on the radio.
The physical positions requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, the ability to climb ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and working at heights to excess of 150 ft. as well lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100lbs.
