Job Description
This role focuses on safely operating a heavy sit-down forklift to move long dimensional pipe for shipping and using a press machine to produce metal sheets for the receiving department. You ensure materials move efficiently through the facility while maintaining accuracy in shipping and receiving activities.
Responsibilities
Operate a heavy sit-down forklift to move, load, and unload long dimensional pipe in preparation for shipping.
Use a press machine to produce sheets of metal according to specifications for the receiving department.
Handle materials carefully to prevent damage while loading, unloading, and transporting products within the facility.
Stage, organize, and prepare materials for shipment in an efficient and orderly manner.
Support receiving activities by moving finished metal sheets and other materials to designated areas.
Follow established safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines at all times.
Inspect forklift and press machine regularly and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate shipping and receiving priorities and workflow.
Essential Skills
Proven experience operating a heavy sit-down forklift in an industrial or warehouse environment.
Hands‑on machine operating experience, specifically with a press machine.
Experience in shipping and receiving, including handling, staging, and moving materials.
Ability to safely move and handle long dimensional pipe and metal sheets.
Strong attention to safety procedures and equipment operation guidelines.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting.
Familiarity with basic material handling best practices.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Work Environment
This position is based in an industrial or warehouse environment where you regularly operate a heavy sit-down forklift and a press machine. You work around long dimensional pipe, metal sheets, and other materials that require careful handling. The role involves physical activity, including standing, operating machinery, and moving materials throughout the shift. You follow strict safety procedures and equipment guidelines to maintain a secure and efficient workspace. Work hours typically follow standard warehouse or manufacturing shifts, with potential variations based on operational needs. Attire is practical and safety‑focused, including appropriate workwear and any required protective equipment as specified by site safety rules.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
