About The Role
Foothills Bank, one of Arizona’s top-rated banks, is seeking a part‑time teller to serve customers Monday through Friday, 30 hours per week. Tellers greet customers, handle core deposit and loan transactions, educate clients on bank products, and maintain accurate cash balances.

Summary
Tellers perform routine teller and bank transactions, educate customers on products and services, open and maintain deposit accounts, and promote the bank’s image and reputation. Precision, timeliness, and excellent customer service are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process bank transactions, including deposits, check cashing, loan payments, wire transfers, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, credit card advances, foreign currency, telephone transfers, and night deposit records.

Maintain knowledge of bank products (checking, savings, money‑market, CDs, e‑banking) and cross‑sell eligible accounts.

Assist with safe deposit entries, reconcile and close accounts, update addresses, provide statement print‑outs, and respond to check copy requests.

Answer, direct, and return incoming calls and messages.

Balance cash drawer daily, locate overages/shortages, sell excess cash to vault, and maintain accurate cash records.

Use banking platform software, train new tellers, and maintain compliance with banking laws, company policies, and security procedures.

Protect the bank from fraud, stay current on fraud warnings, and file Suspicious Activity Reports when required.

Complete annual compliance training and continuing education.

Adhere to security policies, report risks, and may work at other branches if needed.

Participate in community service and bank‑sponsored activities, maintain a professional image, and ensure a tidy work area.

Attend meetings, provide superior customer service, greet lobby customers, and perform additional duties as requested.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum six months of banking experience, including cash handling and customer service.

Knowledge, Skill, Ability

High level of customer service and interpersonal skills.

Effective teamwork and communication.

Verbal and written communication proficiency.

Basic computer operation: copy, fax, and general office equipment.

Proficient typing ability and attention to detail.

Work Environment
Internally, a shared, climate‑controlled work area with moderate noise. Employees may need to travel off‑site and work additional hours as required.

Physical Demands
Typical duties include sitting for 6‑8 hours, using hands for repetitive motions, occasional standing and walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Vision requires close visual acuity for data analysis, computer work, and inspection of small parts. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary is based on experience. PTO accruals start at .0745 per hour for part‑time employees, with a maximum of 240 hours per year for certain full‑time employees.
