Role: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Labor and Delivery Nurse

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: May 5, 2026 – End: August 4, 2026)

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)

Weekly Hours: 36

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 – $2,060

Setting: Labor & Delivery unit (26 beds, team nursing approach)

Scheduling: Self-scheduling available to support work-life balance

Job Requirements / Qualifications

Active RN license (state of practice required; compact license accepted per facility policy)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience; 2+ years preferred

Experience circulating C-sections; high-risk LDR experience preferred

BLS certification required (other facility-required certifications may apply)

Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical assessment skills

Flexibility, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit

Circulate and assist with C-sections and other obstetric procedures; support surgical workflow

Monitor patients using advanced equipment (Alaris pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, CPN monitors)

Administer medications and manage IVs, including oxytocin and magnesium protocols

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—OB hospitalists, nursing staff, and ancillary departments

Document care accurately using CPN Gold and Meditech EMR systems

Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and evidence-based nursing care

Adhere to unit policies, participate in team-based care, and maintain clinical competencies
