A successful manufacturer in the machining industry is seeking a Babbitt Bearing Machinist Technician in the Tempe, Arizona area.
Candidates Must Have:
High school diploma or higher education is required for this role.
8 years of experience in a machining environment, preferably with exposure to babbitt bearings for an extensive period.
Experience following babbitting standard operating procedures that may include acid washing and adding babbitt to components.
Demonstrated experience disassembling and reassembling bearings as needed.
Babbitting and/or rebabbitting experience is required for this position.
Ability to inspect work to ensure tolerances and finishes are done as required.
