Weekend Requirement:

EPIC (experience with EPIC preferred)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in process) – Illinois RN jobs welcome
BLS certification (AHA required)
Minimum 1 year recent acute care or LTAC RN experience (travel RN experience a plus)
Clinical experience caring for PEG tube patients, tracheostomy care, and ventilator/respiratory support
Competent with CVC/PICC/Midline care and IV antibiotic administration
Ability to titrate drips (Heparin) and monitor infusion therapy
Ability and willingness to float to ICU and Acute Rehab as needed
Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug‑free campus)
Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality nursing care to patients with complex, long‑term acute care needs, including respiratory failure, post‑surgical care, wound care, IV antibiotics, post‑CVA, post‑trauma, and cardiac conditions
Manage and monitor patients with PEG tubes, central lines (PICC/CVC), midlines, and tracheostomies
Titrate and monitor Heparin drips and other infusion therapies as ordered
Collaborate with respiratory therapists for ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, and high‑flow oxygen management
Work closely with a multidisciplinary care team, including house supervisors and patient care technicians
Float to ICU and Acute Rehab units as needed to support patient care
Document patient care accurately and timely using EPIC electronic health record
Participate in orientation, training, and ongoing professional development as required
