INFECTION PREVENTIONIST NURSE

About the Role
Warren Barr Gold Coast is a premier skilled nursing facility located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. We are seeking an Infection Control Coordinator to ensure that residents receive the highest standard of care through education, policy development, outbreak prevention, data analysis, and resource support for staff, residents, and families.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce infection control policies and procedures.
Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices.
Identify, control, and prevent outbreaks of infection within the facility.
Collect and analyze infection control data and report findings.
Act as the primary infection control resource for employees, residents, and family members.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of infection control best practices and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing, or a related field.
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
C.P.R. certification.
Minimum of five (5) years of RN experience.
Preferably one (1) year of experience in an infection control position; we are willing to train the right candidate.
