Overview

Austin Oaks Hospital (a UHS facility) is an 80-bed facility that offers a broad spectrum of psychiatric services for adults and adolescents aged 13 to 17. Located on a 13-acre campus, we provide a home-like environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self-awareness, social skills, and personal growth. Our psychiatric treatment and substance abuse services are available through inpatient and outpatient programs. Austin Oaks Hospital is located in South Austin, 10 minutes from downtown.
Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking behavioral health services through the inpatient or outpatient programs.
Answer incoming calls, assess needs, determine the most appropriate level of care, schedule outpatient assessments, and coordinate the intake process.
Provide tours of the outpatient program and complete intake assessments to ensure a smooth transition into services.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:

Masters Degree in Behavioral Health field required
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:

LPC-A, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or RN
EXPERIENCE:

At least 6 months work experience providing individual, group and family therapy (preferred), case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect; experience working with people with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders; thorough understanding of the step-down process and involvement of related departments; thorough understanding of inpatient workflow as it pertains to case management and discharge planning.
