Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients
Conduct patient assessments and monitor mental health status
Administer and manage medications safely and accurately
Assist with and support group therapy sessions as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Ensure patient safety and adherence to behavioral health protocols
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Required)
Behavioral health or psychiatric experience preferred
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Licensure & Certifications
Active RN license (AZ or compact)
BLS Certification (Required)
Unit & Facility Details
12-bed behavioral health unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio: typically 1:6
Patient population: Adult and Geriatric Psychiatric patients
Current patient age range: 18+ (goal to return to 55+)
Support staff includes 2 Patient Care Technicians (based on census)
