Lead Release Manager – Quantum Enterprise Content Solutions (ECS)
The Lead Release Manager oversees, coordinates, plans, schedules, and executes software releases for our Quantum Enterprise Content Solutions (ECS) software product. The role works closely with multiple teams to ensure smooth and timely completion of high‑quality software releases and patches, coordinating efforts between product, development, sales, marketing, and customer support.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain release plans, schedules, and timelines for software releases.
Lead release planning activities for multiple concurrent releases (patches, major releases, etc.).
Coordinate release activities with development, QA, load testing, product management, PSG, sales, marketing, support, and other teams to ensure alignment and readiness.
Coordinate with Scrum Master to align sprint planning with overall release plan.
Manage release risks and issues and proactively identify and address potential roadblocks.
Conduct release readiness reviews and ensure all release deliverables are in place.
Communicate release status, progress and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Implement and improve release processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Lead release retrospectives to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with PSG and product teams to complete final testing of releases.
Qualifications
Education Required:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, related field or relevant work experience.
Preferred Work Experience:
7+ years experience in release management with a commercial software or related field; experience working with cross‑functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders; strong understanding of software development lifecycle and release management best practices.
Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge of Agile Software Tools (Rally, Jira), DevOps practices, Git version control and software infrastructure management and configuration management.
Skills:
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Visio, PowerPoint); demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all experience and leadership levels; ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high levels of confidentiality; superior listening and problem resolution skills; proficiency when simultaneously working on multiple priorities; self‑directed with considerable initiative.
Required Technical Training:
Project Management Certification.
Preferred Technical Training:
Agile/Scrum Master.
