Sterile Processing Clinical Duties
Prepares instrumentation and equipment for sterile processing.
Verifies the sterilization process.
Decontaminates and reprocesses all reusable equipment and instrumentation.
Checks equipment for cleanliness and functional use, inventories and documents the quantity of each instrument per tray/container, and wraps trays and product for sterilization according to established policies and procedures.
Performs required biological and Bowie‑Dick tests daily and records corresponding results.
Records autoclave load contents and required statistics accurately.
Prepares case carts for the operating room based on surgical needs and supplies.
