Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Range
Starting Pay ranges between $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Full‑time hourly position. $3,000 Sign On Bonus.
Job Overview
The Field Service Technician will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. They will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment and possess knowledge of operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment.
Interact with customers to address equipment concerns.
Collaborate with the Service Coordinator on ordering parts and supplies.
Assist in training apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers.
Provide technical assistance on equipment pre‑commissioning, start‑ups, installations, and repairs. Hands‑on work to assure equipment operates to customer requirements with limited guidance from the Master Technician.
Increase customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products and solutions such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits and Leak Detection.
Requirements
2+ years experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations as specified.
Service technicians required to be on‑call; not on‑call for the first 90 days.
Highly physical role; must handle regular lifting and movement per safety policy.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Core Competencies
Read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
Basic vibration troubleshooting.
Basic air quality (system compressor/dryer – air treatment).
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic computer usage; working proficiency with handheld computers.
Maintain proper business travel practices cost‑efficiently.
Preferences
2+ years industrial air compressor maintenance & knowledge.
Degree program in Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC with knowledge of AC/DC circuits, wiring diagrams, motors/controls, PLCs, HVAC electricity, controls, refrigeration systems, and/or refrigerant or EPA certification.
Veterans/Active‑Duty Military encouraged to apply.
Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements
Daily travel within a 3‑hour radius of service area.
Occasional training travel 1‑2 times per year.
