We are seeking a skilled and dependable
Maintenance Technician
to support operations within a fast‑paced pistachio processing facility. This role is critical to ensuring equipment uptime, production efficiency, and overall plant safety. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining processing equipment in an agricultural or food production environment.
Experience with huller maintenance is highly valued, as this equipment plays a vital role in daily production.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on processing equipment, including hullers, conveyors, sorters, and related systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime
Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
Maintain and repair huller equipment to ensure optimal performance during production
Support equipment changeovers and production line adjustments as needed
Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Collaborate with production teams to prioritize repairs and maintain workflow efficiency
Qualifications
Required:
2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, or food processing environment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours during peak season
Preferred:
Hands‑on experience maintaining huller equipment (pistachio, almond, or similar processing systems)
Basic electrical knowledge (motors, controls, wiring)
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
