About the Role
Join MASTER MODEL & FIXTURE INC as a Mechanic Trainee and kickstart your career in the manufacturing industry! This exciting opportunity offers hands-on training and experience in a dynamic environment where innovation meets craftsmanship. We manufacture quality control tooling for the automotive and aerospace industries. We are looking for a fast but detailed oriented employee to join our team!
Responsibilities
Reading & building to prints to stock up fixtures.
Learn to operate various machinery and tools under supervision.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Drill bases and mount stock ups to them for CNC machining.
Sand and seal fixtures after they get CNC cut.
Use hand tools, as well as machines such as Mills, Lathes and Grinders to fabricate fixture details, hardware and accessories.
Adapt to various tasks as needed in a fast-paced setting.
Deliver finished material to local customers.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Basic understanding of hand tools and machinery.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to lift heavy objects (40+ pounds) and stand for long periods.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Shift: 5:45 am - 2:15 pm (some days overtime might be required). Saturdays when needed 6 am - 12 pm
