As a Leasing Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high occupancy levels and resident satisfaction. You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process and ensuring a seamless move‑in experience. In addition, you’ll work closely with the property management team to market our community, execute lease agreements, and build strong, lasting resident relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing and Sales
Greet and build rapport with prospective residents, providing tours and highlighting property amenities and benefits.
Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms, addressing questions and scheduling tours.
Guide prospective residents through the leasing process, including application submission, screening, and lease signing.
Meet or exceed leasing and occupancy goals by effectively converting leads into signed leases.
Marketing and Outreach
Assist in creating and executing marketing plans to drive traffic, including social media posts, email campaigns, and outreach events.
Ensure property listings are up-to-date across all online platforms, showcasing professional photography, accurate pricing, and detailed descriptions.
Coordinate and participate in community events to foster engagement and promote the property.
Tenant/Resident Relations
Orient new residents to the property, providing an overview of community rules, amenities, and resources.
Investigate and resolve resident complaints and concerns in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Enforce occupancy policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with fair housing laws and company regulations.
Maintain timely and clear communication with residents, fostering a sense of community and connection.
Maintenance Assistance
Monitor completion of maintenance and repairs to ensure they are handled promptly and cost‑effectively.
Ensure the security of premises by maintaining security devices and addressing safety concerns.
Organise and oversee incoming and outgoing inspections, preparing detailed inspection reports.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to address resident concerns and ensure property upkeep.
Administrative Duties
Accurately process rental applications, including income verification, background checks, and credit screenings.
Prepare and maintain lease agreements, ensuring compliance with fair housing laws and company policies.
Maintain accurate records in property management software (AppFolio experience is a plus).
What We’re Looking For
Experience in leasing, property management, sales, or customer service (preferred).
Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Tech‑savvy: comfortable using Microsoft Office and property management software such as AppFolio or similar.
Knowledge of fair housing laws and leasing regulations.
Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
Excellent organisational abilities—efficiently manage a high‑traffic online dashboard.
Highly detail‑oriented—skilled in managing prospective clients’ interests and aligning them seamlessly with available options.
