LPN SPECIALIST OR MEDICAL ASSISTANT SPECIALIST - SPORTS MEDICINE - FULL TIME

Essential Functions
Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
Administers medication, including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician as required.
Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
Adheres to Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical records.
Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
Requirements
LPN Specialist requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing; must possess an active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Medical Assistant Specialist requirements
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
Certification:
Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
BLS Certification:
Current BLS certification or to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
Additional Qualifications
1 year experience in a primary care setting.
Current BLS certification or completion within three months of employment.
