We are currently seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team to provide emotional and therapeutic support to clients in either individual or group settings.
Position Overview
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will provide individual and group counseling services to clients facing a range of mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans and support clients in their journey toward improved mental health.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and evaluations in line with the APA/DSM 5 TR to understand clients’ mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based counseling and therapeutic interventions.
Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and attend professional development opportunities.
Provide support to counseling interns and young professionals working toward valid/state licensure.
Facilitate supportive referral to clients/individuals, and collaborate with other service organizations in the community for the benefit of the client/population we serve.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Valid state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) [non-licensed or license-eligible professionals, apply for our mental counselor - LP/social worker position to benefit from appropriate support/career development].
Experience in individual and group counseling preferred.
Understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic, patient, and culturally competent approach to counseling.
