Finance Controller

The Controller position reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions

Update and maintain the general ledger

Reconciliation of entries into accounting system

Recording of debits and credits

Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers

Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions

Ensure that receivables are collected promptly

Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account

Conduct reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy

Maintain the petty cash fund

Review and issue financial statements

Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit

Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements

Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

Process the monthly and quarterly sales tax for all Companies.

Follow accounting policies and procedures, comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
