Role Description
Trinity United Methodist Church (UMC) is seeking a skilled and dependable Audio Visual Technician to oversee all audio and visual needs within our worship environment. This part-time role is essential to creating a seamless and meaningful worship experience for both in-person and online participants.
Pay Range:
$14.00 – $20.00 per hour
Job Type:
Part-Time, approx. 5 hours per week

Qualifications
Experience with live sound mixing and/or studio mixing
Working knowledge of signal flow, EQ, compression, routing, and mixing console layouts (e.g., X32, WING)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changes and troubleshoot in real time
Team-oriented with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Capable of managing multiple tasks with attention to detail
Willingness to grow and develop technical skills
A passion for Christ and alignment with the mission of Trinity UMC
Key Responsibilities
Manage front-of-house (FOH) sound, including in-room and online/family room mixes
Manage live streaming, podcast recording, and worship slides
Collaborate with musicians, worship leaders, and Worship Coordinator to achieve balanced audio and appropriate volume levels
Arrive prepared and on time for all rehearsals and services, with equipment set as directed
Be available on Sunday mornings (starting at 9:00 a.m.) to implement requested adjustments from pastoral and worship leadership
Be available for occasional weeknight rehearsals for special services and events occurring outside of Sunday mornings
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during rehearsals and services
Schedule volunteers and maintain schedule on Planning Center
Maintain a posture of humility and support when working with volunteers
Learn and operate cameras, streaming platforms, projection software, and related technologies
Maintain organization and cleanliness of all technical areas, including cables, stands, monitors, and booths
Communicate concerns or issues promptly with staff and pastoral leadership
Schedule
Sundays:
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Approximately 5 hours per week
Traditional sanctuary service
Involves choir, instrumentalists, and piano
Includes live broadcast/streaming for worship
