
Voter Engagement Coordinator

Position Summary
CASA in Action is seeking a full-time Voter Engagement Coordinator to lead daily field operation activities, primarily by building and maintaining a strong team of canvassers to increase the share of the electorate with voters from working families and immigrant communities through direct voter contact work.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing leaders within their team and will succeed in engaging registered voters and voting-eligible community members to bring about real people-powered political movements. They will be committed to getting results in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality, and demonstrate a deep commitment to racial equity.
Essential Responsibilities
Implement Field Operation Plans: meet daily with Regional Voter Engagement Manager, discuss field operations plans to meet metrics and team-building goals; prepare canvassing equipment; lead launch and debrief meetings; stay updated on election cycle news.
Team Supervision: lead daily work for canvass team; monitor on-field progress; coach and provide feedback; respond to incidents and report to Manager.
Voter Engagement: conduct daily voter contact work; persuade and mobilize voters to vote and inform them of the voting process; enter and report conversation data accurately and promptly.
Team Outcome Reports: report daily team outcomes, track attendance and timesheets, and report to Manager.
Additional Tasks: assist Manager with canvasser recruitment and pre-screen interviews; track and distribute equipment; report inventory needs; coordinate events; collect media content; perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to perform all of the duties outlined above.
A valid U.S. Driver’s License and own car.
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
Experience working with immigrant or low-income communities.
Ability to work with a team and independently.
Self-motivated with a track record of leadership, building team morale and interpersonal skills.
High energy in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to meeting a high bar and achieving results despite obstacles.
Strong knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN and Microsoft Excel a plus.
Attention to detail to ensure work is polished, accurate and precise.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Commitment to social change and to furthering CASA in Action’s mission of building power in low-income and immigrant communities through political engagement.
Compensation
$24 per hour.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or reach objects, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. The job requires frequent talking or hearing, and vision that allows close, distance, and focused vision.
Work Environment
The work environment may involve occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, moderate noise levels, and occasional uneven or slippery surfaces.
