HazMat Retail Driver - CDL (B)

Position Summary
The HazMat Retail Driver will operate class B trucks in LTL capacity, pick up retail waste from stores, pharmacies, and industrial sites, sort and verify waste, ensure proper packaging, labeling, securing, and transport to temporary storage or treatment facilities. The driver must provide excellent customer service, maintain electronic logs of manifests and work orders, and adhere to government regulations. Schedule Monday–Friday, with variable shifts that may include 3‑4 overnight shifts per week, and most weekends and holidays off.
Responsibilities
Use company technology (mobile applications and software) to track waste collection, packaging, and disposal.
Deliver high‑level customer service through clear communication and professionalism on site.
Maintain vehicle log and documentation of manifests and work orders.
Perform DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections according to company and DOT regulations.
Understand DOT hazardous‑waste regulations, including accurate placarding, loading securement, HAZMAT load segregation, and labeling.
Assist in maintaining good housekeeping at facility and on grounds.
Act as technician on lab pack and field service projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Self‑motivation to achieve daily workload targets.
CDL Hazmat endorsement preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid class B commercial driver’s license with an MVR meeting company policy standards.
Ability to pass 40‑hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $22.85 to $31.40 per hour, reflecting the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions; the actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
