As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality, using the latest banking solutions and financial technology combined with friendly and attentive service. You will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful relationships with clients, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions that meet their financial needs and make lives easier, thereby contributing to the success of the branch.
Responsibilities
Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive and friendly service in a welcoming environment.
Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them, both in person and over the phone, to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
Engage in clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients, building trust through thoughtful questioning and listening.
Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, chase.com, and ATMs to support their banking needs anytime, anywhere.
Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions and collaborate with experts for specialized financial needs.
Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Required Qualifications
1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
Excellent communication skills, both in person and by phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail, ensuring a consistent client experience.
Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
Have or achieve the required industry licenses: Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses. Unlicensed applicants must obtain these licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, with study materials and support provided.
Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
College degree or military equivalent.
Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Requirements
This position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and relevant Dodd‑Frank/Truth‑in‑Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators.
Applicants must comply with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) requirements under the SAFE Act of 2008.
