Team Description
The AWM Divisional Finance team is responsible for the weekly Management Committee report, annual planning process, quarterly reforecasts, month‑end management reporting, divisional P&L, and various regulatory reporting. Day‑to‑day work includes regular tasks, project‑based work, and ad‑hoc analyses.
Position Description
The role collaborates closely with Asset Management (Public and Private), WM Finance, Controllers, and Financial Reporting teams. You will oversee month‑end close coordination, month‑end reporting, weekly Management Committee reporting, internal allocation analysis, regulatory requests, and annual planning and quarterly forecasts. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are vital, as is the ability to understand financial information, identify relationships, and raise issues or concerns. Knowledge of Essbase/SmartView and Anaplan is a significant advantage.
Principal Responsibilities
Spearhead the weekly AWM Management Committee Package, ensuring KPI metric accuracy across groups.
Oversee coordination of monthly P&L and balance‑sheet closes with Controllers, Technology, Strats, and other AM Private teams.
Prepare month‑end financial reports to AWM senior management (regular and ad‑hoc).
Assist in liaising with Corporate Planning & Management, AM Controllers, and AM Private Finance to ensure revenue, expenses, and business metrics are accurately booked and reported.
Conduct month‑end analysis related to internal allocations.
Collaborate with Engineering and Controllers to streamline reporting and develop robust reporting tools.
Support AWM’s annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and Business Planning Committee presentations.
Compile analyses required for the firm’s regulatory obligations to the Federal Reserve.
Necessary Qualifications And Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
2‑4 years of accounting or finance‑related experience.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
Ability to manage, organize, and analyze large volumes of information.
Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; experience with Essbase/SmartView and Anaplan is a significant advantage.
Team player willing to help in areas beyond job duties.
Highly motivated, self‑starter, and able to multi‑task.
Capability to work independently in a small team.
Salary Range
Base salary for this New York, New York, United States‑based position is $85,000–$110,000. Eligible employees may receive a discretionary bonus at fiscal year end.
