
Senior Accountant - Consolidations

Position Summary
Duties relating to consolidation and accounting are the foundation of this role. Manage the financial consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards. This is a hybrid position requiring on‑site attendance a minimum of two days per week, located in Norcross, GA.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting in a global manufacturing company.
Additional Qualifications, Certifications And/or Licenses
CPA or CMA preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
Prepare company’s financial statements and reporting (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, etc.).
Compile and review financial reports and data used in preparing financial reports and disclosures.
Manage consolidation‑related activities such as changes to the global chart of accounts, entity reporting hierarchies, consolidation mappings, intercompany eliminations, and other processes/controls.
Investigate and resolve consolidation issues.
Prepare consolidation and adjusting journal entries, system reconciliations, and other ad hoc requests on a timely and accurate basis.
Analyze and validate the foreign currency and translation impact on financial results.
Report capital investment and tracking to parent company.
Other financial reporting & analysis as needed.
Team Leadership
Hire, engage, coach, and develop team members.
Annual Audit
Collaborate with the internal audit department and external auditors to ensure recommendations are implemented.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimal travel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Accounting systems knowledge (SAP and JDE preferred).
General Expectations
Demonstrate effective communication (verbal, written) skills.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Maintain discretion when working with confidential and proprietary information.
Strict adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
Exhibit all aspects of Lightera “Standards of Conduct”.
