Position in Lansing, MI. Contract position lasting 16 months. The role is Agile-based with heavy usage of Azure DevOps.
Position Summary: The System Analyst III serves and gathers, documents and tests business requirements, facilitates the Scrum process, and coordinates with PMOs on State of Michigan projects.
Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
Develop process flows, use cases, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
Create test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases based on requirements.
Execute functional, integration, and regression testing; log and track defects.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with business partners.
Validate that delivered solutions meet documented requirements and quality standards.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Assist with system demonstrations, training materials, and production validation.
Ensure documentation remains accurate and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements
Interview Process: Interviews will be held in-person. Candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
Duration: 1 year with desire for contractor to convert to full time with SOMI in 1-2 years. At the time of conversion, candidate must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship by the State of Michigan.
Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. No remote only option. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week (required in-person days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays). The first month of work will be onsite 5 days/week for onboarding.
