4 days in office, WFH Wednesdays
Why us?
We\'re already profitable and growing. Our team has extensive experience in technology (Google) and management consulting (McKinsey).
We\'re taking on traditional surety agencies in a $10B low-tech market. We believe we can win because we\'ve built the best user experience, supported by the most advanced technology.
We\'re a 3.5-year-old company that is profitable and growing. You\'ll have a big role in shaping the direction and culture of our company as we scale.
Position Overview
As an insurance sales representative, you will build and grow a book of surety business by proactively reaching out to contractors and business owners who need bid, performance, and license bonds. This is a high-volume outbound role — you\'ll spend most of your day on the phone, working through targeted prospect lists, qualifying accounts, and moving them through our bonding process. You\'ll work directly with senior producers and underwriters to evaluate accounts, submit applications, and close deals.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop sales skills in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. An insurance license is not required — we will pay for and help you get licensed your very first week!
Key Responsibilities
Run a high volume of outbound calls, emails, and texts each day to contractors and business owners from our targeted prospect lists — past customers, lost opportunities, and validated leads
Use power dialers (Dialpad) and our Salesforce-driven outbound motion to work through segmented contact lists efficiently
Qualify prospects on the phone — identify their bonding needs, budget, and timeline, then move qualified accounts into the application process
Convert inbound leads as they come in by quickly responding via text, phone, or email to customers who have requested a quote on our website
Gather bond applications, financial statements, work-in-progress reports, and other underwriting information
Maintain customer account information in Salesforce — documenting every call and conversation, sending confirmations, and following our automation procedures
Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to bond servicing (sending bond forms and certificates of insurance, indemnity form signature requests, submitting invoices and taking payment, processing bond riders and endorsements)
Learn and apply underwriting guidelines to qualify accounts and identify growth opportunities
Provide meaningful input to our product and engineering team to help improve our tools and outbound motion
Qualifications
Integrity:
You demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethical standards in all client, carrier, and internal interactions.
Driven:
You set high standards for yourself and are energized by hitting ambitious targets. You care about outcomes, not hours logged.
Resilient:
Rejection doesn\'t faze you. You can hear "no" fifty times in a day and come back the next morning ready to dial again.
Phone-first : You\'re comfortable with — ideally energized by — spending most of your day on the phone. You build rapport quickly with strangers.
Communicative : Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
