BASIC FUNCTIONS
Order, receive, and stock inventory while maintaining accurate records of parts, accessories, and supplies.
Assist technicians in identifying necessary parts using computer catalogs, offering technical advice, and providing price quotes.
Issue parts and tools to technicians.
Process special orders for out-of-stock items while maintaining purchase orders to vendors.
Maintain accurate logs of part usage, vendor invoices, and maintenance records to assess repair patterns.
Track part shipments, manage returns and core charges, and ensure timely delivery of parts.
Inspect incoming shipments for defects, verify paperwork for accuracy, and manage returns for damaged or incorrect parts under warranty.
Promote high standards of safety while keeping the parts department clean, organized, and compliant with department safety procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency) required.
Strong understanding of automotive parts, systems, and vehicle repair.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in vehicle parts, inventory control, maintenance and repair and/or warehousing.
Proficiency in computer software, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and MS Office.
Exceptional organizational abilities, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to use time wisely to ensure proficient and effective operations.
Ability to lift, pack, and move parts up to 50–70 lbs.
Ability to pass alcohol and drug test.
