Journeyman Electrician
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will ensure compliance with all safety requirements while promoting a positive safety culture. You will perform journeyman-level electrician duties to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and machines. Your role will involve planning, laying out, installing, and repairing a wide variety of complex electrical equipment, including automatic machine and process controls, control centers, and panels, among others.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair production equipment and machines.
Plan, layout, install, and repair complex electrical equipment.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make necessary adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Utilize a variety of hand and power tools and electric meters.
Operate equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and bucket trucks.
Comply with safety procedures related to electrical hazards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3 years of experience as an Electrician in a high-speed manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience.
Possess and maintain an Electrician license issued by the state of Kentucky.
Thorough understanding of electrical and electronic theory, National Electrical Code Standards.
Experience with troubleshooting logic on AC and DC equipment and circuits.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC programs.
Exercise good judgment and technical skill near power sources.
Ability to work overtime and in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or GED with formal electrical or related electrical apprenticeship of 4 or more years.
Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Proficiency attained through a formal electrician or related electrical apprenticeship.

Work Environment
This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with extended periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for up to 8–12 hours per shift. Regular lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs, and frequent use of hands/feet for coordination are necessary. The ability to tolerate high-heat environments (90–110°F) and wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear is essential.

The pay range for this position is $79,040 – $79,040 / yr.
