Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a high-volume caseload, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities, and communicating effectively with attorneys, consumers, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily scrubs for potential bankruptcy, decreased and active duty military.
Prepare, file, and track pleadings for Creditor’s rights bankruptcy cases.
Draft and review legal documents, including but not limited to Proofs of Claim, Reaffirmation Agreements, Motions for Relief from Stay, and Payment Change Notices
Analyze bankruptcy plans, schedules, and case dockets for accuracy and compliance
Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines
Communicate effectively with courts, trustees, clients, and opposing counsel
Maintain accurate case records and internal tracking systems
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules, as well as client guidelines
Required Qualifications
Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred, but not required
2+ years of experience in bankruptcy or creditor’s rights preferred
Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures and CM/ECF filing systems
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with case management software is a plus
