What You Will Do

Lead and supervise a team of repair development engineers, providing technical direction and mentoring.

Own the development and execution of repair and manufacturing processes for industrial gas turbine and aeroderivative components.

Drive standardization, industrialization, and process qualification efforts across the organization.

Interpret and apply complex engineering data, including blueprints, CAD models, material specifications, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and process documentation.

Perform design analysis to substantiate repairability limits, life extension, and operational performance.

Manage configuration control for MD&A-designed and manufactured components.

Establish and maintain engineering and quality standards; lead root‑cause analysis (RCA) investigations.

Travel to customer and field sites to conduct failure investigations and present RCA findings.

Ensure compliance with internal engineering policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.

Support engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to ensure correct incorporation of repair limits and processes into shop and vendor manuals.

Provide global technical support to sales and customer organizations through site visits and technical consultation.

Represent MD&A at customer user groups, industry conferences, and technical reviews, delivering presentations on repair, manufacturing, and technology capabilities.

Stay current with emerging industrial technologies, equipment upgrades, and best practices, and strategically incorporate them into repair and manufacturing operations where they add value.

Requirements

10+ years of experience with industrial and aeroderivative gas turbine component repairs, including:

Coatings and surface treatments

Heat treatment processes

Superalloy materials and mechanical properties

Airflow and finishing operations

Inspection and quality assurance

Strong background in inspection and quality for newly manufactured and machined components.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, Mastercam, and related CAD/CAM tools (preferred).
Competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools such as MS Project.

Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

Engineering Knowledge

Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.

Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and material/process specifications.

Soft Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience with Industrial Gas Turbines.

Salary: 140k - 160k
