Job Title: Chemist – Technical Center
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Technical Center performing quality testing on a wide range of products for the food and beverage industry, with a strong focus on beer. You will join a collaborative laboratory team that includes analytical, microbiology, stability, and materials testing groups, and you will be placed into the group that best matches your experience, potential, and interests. This position is ideal for a chemist who enjoys fast‑paced, hands‑on lab work, problem solving, and contributing to a larger production and quality mission.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and non‑routine quality testing on products using wet chemistry techniques.
Conduct analytical testing using instruments such as HPLC and GC, as applicable to your assigned group.
Support one or more laboratory groups, including Analytical, Microbiology, Stability, or Materials Testing.
Follow established laboratory methods, standard operating procedures, and quality standards to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
Document test procedures, observations, and results clearly and accurately in laboratory records and systems.
Participate in problem solving activities related to product quality issues and testing discrepancies.
Manage multiple tests and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting rapid turnaround times.
Collaborate closely with team members in a highly team‑oriented environment, sharing information and supporting group objectives.
Adapt to changing project priorities and department needs driven by ongoing initiatives and new product or process requirements.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and organization in the laboratory workspace.
Contribute to the overall mission of the Technical Center by understanding how your testing supports broader production and quality goals.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
Hands‑on wet chemistry laboratory experience.
Experience working in a laboratory environment in industry or equivalent practical experience during school.
Strong interest in food and beverage products, particularly beer.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with rapid turnaround times.
Proven ability to multi‑task and manage several tests or projects at once.
Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues.
Adaptable and coachable approach, with openness to feedback and learning new methods.
Understanding of how individual work contributes to larger organizational and product quality goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with HPLC and GC instrumentation.
Experience or coursework in food science or microbiology.
Experience in fast‑paced work settings such as restaurants or quick‑service food environments, demonstrating ability to handle pressure and multitask.
Strong problem solving skills and an analytical mindset.
Excellent communication skills for working within cross‑functional laboratory teams.
Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
