Process Engineering Supervisor

What to Expect
The Lithium & Recycling (LiR) group, under Cell Engineering is responsible for the reliable and efficient flow of all battery materials from Tesla's factories and Service locations to approved battery reclamation & recycling facilities. As a process engineering supervisor, you will lead an operations team and drive metrics in battery recycling pretreatment and mechanical processing. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our engineering, maintenance, EHS and R&D teams to ensure production goals are safely being met. You will be expected to drive improvement of operations processes, give feedback to engineering teams on process improvements, and build a strong operations culture.

What You’ll Do

Develop and maintaina positive, professional, and proactive operating group focused on monitoring, technical execution, and customer service

Plan, supervise, and coordinate BatteryRecycling Operations Group activities

Ensure group adherence to safety protocols and advocate for improvements

Lead skilled technical staff in executing complex operations of BatteryRecycling equipment and processes

Enforce policies, develop procedures, and plan resource utilizationfor daily activities

Provide training, mentoring, and career development to shift personnel

Address complex issues, advise team members, and manage on-shift escalations

What You’ll Bring

4+ years of related trade experience in a supervision/management role in high-risk production environments

Work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage, and distribution locations, and industrial waste plants and the p potential to work with materials which containhazardous chemicals

Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Essential Physical Demands

Ability to work outside in the elements ranging from 0-110F in the wind, rain, and snow

Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for 10+ hours per day, climb and maintainbalance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures, andlift upto 50 lbs.

Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to:safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hat, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Ability to wear a full-faceair-purifyingrespirator while performing mildly or moderately exertional tasks for 4 consecutive hours, up to 12 hours per day
